Light Wallet / IOTA Support Public Node

The Light Wallet is integrated into the GUI and enables you to use IOTA without the need to find neighbors.

After selecting the Light Wallet option, you can simply connect to a public node.

IOTA Support have decided to acquire a dedicated server to run such a service.

You can download the lightwallet here: https://github.com/iotaledger/wallet/releases

In order to use your Light Wallet with our server, connect to:

If required, scheduled downtimes: Sundays and Wednesdays, 5-8pm GMT.

The service is free to use, however donations in IOTA or BTC are appreciated and will help us to accomodate as many users as possible.

If you want to set up a server for light wallets to connect to, please note:
  • It is not researched yet how many light wallets can connect to one full node
  • The POW is not done on the server
  • It is essential to disable some API calls (to close attack vectors and prevent misuse):
         getNeighbors, removeNeighbors, addNeighbors, attachTotangle, interruptAttachingToTangle.
  • You need to open up a receiver port and enable the remote use of the IRI.
  • An example of a start up command:
        java -jar iri-1.1.2.3.jar -p 14265 -r 14265 -e -n "udp://neighbor1:14265" --remote-limit-api "removeNeighbors, addNeighbors, interruptAttachingToTangle, attachToTangle, getNeighbors" --remote

Note that, according to our disclaimer, we do not take any responsibility for any issues and/or losses that may occur through using our server. Furthermore, we are not responsible for any listed servers/nodes provided by 3rd parties and potential losses related to their use.
